Humidifiers On Newly Installed Furnace

When installing the humidifier on a new heating system does the humidifier get mounted before the heating element... or should it run through the humdifier after the air is heated? It has occured to me that if it is heated before it passes throught the heating process the humidity would be removed from the newly heated air. ???? thanks

the air should be heated before it hits the humifdifier , it will aid in the humidity in the house.

the humidifier goes in the supply duct after the air handler
