I would LOVE to install central air into our house. I watched a show somewhere( I think hometime) where they used these small tubes that were ran thru the attic into each room. They seemed to be around a couple of inches in diameter. 1st off,is running them tubes a homeowner can do to help save in installation costs? 2nd, what is a ballpark figure in costs of getting central air installed?

you could do some of the work but the contractor may not want that because he needs to put his warranty on it and they cant if you do some of the work .

the price depends on a lot of factors and it is to hard to just give a ball park price .

Youre probably referring to a Unico system. www.unicosystem.com (http://www.unicosystem.com)
