Hi everyone , here is my latest outdoor project .
Last year a couple of loggers clear cut a bush nearby and they left all the scrap branches behind so i gathered up a pile of them and made this . This arbor is 7 ft square and 13 ft high . I am going to add a very large set of chimes in the tower and then a couple of hanging plants.
The hardest part is cutting the branches with the mitre saw . They have to be completely flat or you get kick back big time . I also used a chainsaw , skilsaw and reciprocating saw .

John, that's beautiful!! Did you use tenon joinery for the smaller branches?

I see it's dog approved, so you obviously did a great job! ;)

Thanks again Sandy . The dog is my neighbors , he won,t go home . I used 5 and 6" galv. nails for all the main frame and rafters then i used 3 1/2" screws and 2 1/2" galv finish nails for the smaller pieces . They hold together very well .

John, that's great. Most people would look at those branches and consider it firewood but you've created something beautiful!!
