View Full Version : Image Scavanger Hunt 2008
This was a fun one last year so I thought I would start it up again. Heres how it works. You have to find a picture of whatever the previous poster calls out. Once you post the pic you get to call out the next thing to look for. So heres something really easy to start out with
1) Picture of Niagra Falls when it froze over
(Remember folks. Only call out and post non offensive stuff)

Yes but what you can't see in the picture is the branch side which is sticking out the back to the outside. It is used as the dishwasher drain (mostly in Washington).
Here is a large snifter valve (air admittance valve). It is almost a full time job on our system to clean them.

I'm afraid that is about as close as it gets without scanning one of my own photos. Your picture is actually Lake Stuyahok where the float planes drop you off to start your float trip. I'm not sure what happened to the website which use to host pictures of the Stuyahok River but it appears to be missing. I guess I picked too tough of a find.

Microbial Inoculators are ATU, or aerobic treatment units used in a lot of septic system rehabilitaion projects in my area they are marketed under the "white knight" brand. JC may have heard of them

08-27-2008, 08:16 AM
A microbial inoculator introduce air into the septic fields or tile field which feed aerobic bacteria that "eat" the biomat. The biomat is a layer of grease and scum that lives at the interface between the gravel and dirt in the tile fields. This biomat blocks the absorption between the effluent and soils.
