This composition by the Pat Metheny Group is one of my favorite pieces of music of all time.

Oh, I forgot its called "TO THE END OF THE WORLD." If it starts too slow for ya, then speed up to the 6:30 mark, thats when Pat jams out like a madman on the electric guitar. Awesome solo.:clapping:

Carl, Metheny is from my neck of the woods, great player, but I never really could quite get into him.
He uses alot of effects on electric, and to me he always seemed to walk on what I call the "safe side" of jazz.

Here's a video, with another coming up for contrast.
This video is VERY well known to McGlaughlin fans...my next post will have another video to show just how starkly contrasting his styles & musical abilities can be:

I'm in a weird mood right now and I'll shut up.....We're all weird so you don't have to shut up, keep it going, get it off your chest, the night was getting boring. I just want know if Carl's going to take that?

Your idea inspired me garager. I just started my own thread for the heck of it. Pat Metheny deserves to be the first in a thread imo.
