This has been floating around for a year now and as usual the Liberal press has totally passed on the story because they are so in love with Obama they are willing to do anything to get him elected. We're going to put a guy in the white house that should be in jail instead.
They passed on all the corruption thorughout the Clinton years also but let a Republican step out of line and they are all over it like flies on ****.
You have to dump that avitar it really makes me uncomfortable:D

NHM, you are not the first to ask me to dump the avatar. I have had 4 requests already to dump it, one being David Axelrod chief strategist of Obama's campaign. Sorry fellas it's staying until after the election or if something better comes along.

Over the years there have been a lot of political candidates that pissed me off starting with Barry Goldwater. But no one, not even Clinton himself pisses me off as much as this tin puppett charlitan wanna be. Proof positive that Americans will buy any piece of crap if it's properly packaged. Substance means absolutley nothing. If Obama wins he owe's a huge dept of gratitude to the self serving, leaching sycophant press.

NHM, but he needs to fly like that, because he is such an important celebrity. Nevermind what he and Al Gore do, you need to ride your bike to work to reduce your carbon footprint.

McCain's plane is 1/3 the size of Obamas. (there's a joke imbedded here but I'll let you figure that out for yourself lest I get booted) And McCain doesn't run all over the country pretending to be a modern day Robin Hood for the poor.

Carl,
I didn't see the picture you posted; but I do agree with you that the cost of the plane is inconsequential. Obama's campaign has the money and they can spend it how they see fit.
I was just more picking on liberals in general who bemoan our "carbon footprint" yet use private aviation.
You can make the same silly point about John McCain not knowing how many houses he owns.

If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't know half the stuff about either candidate. I have however noticed articles seen on other sites that was worth bringing back to here but just to add to the discussion of gathering minds.
I personally have no dog in this fight, other than I won't invest a great deal of concern on who gets it. Of course, I want one over another simply by default.
But in 2004, I was, seriously concerned who got into office. I had a sick stomach that day, even though I was there at 5:30 am voting at the courthouse, 200 people and it was so quiet a you could of heard a church mouse fart.
I've lost interest in the whole chirade, just like controlling my male pattern baldness. Either way, all my hair is going down my back.

It's not about being biased, seriously. Turn on any news channel and you will only see positives about B.H. Obama. Do you find it odd that this Rezko thing has been around for a while now and not one news station besides Fox has ever reported on it? Is it really a non-issue? What would be the take on it if it was McCain? Now you tell me who is really the biased ones? Has PMSNBC ever reported anything negative on Obama? CNN? ABC? CBS?

If you all haven't come to the realization of the Liberal Media by now....
I never trust anything I hear on the news. Save for the weather report and some of the seriously local (TV3Winchester) news reports, I don't listen to any of them any more.
When you can say there's better information on the INTERNET than you find in news broadcasts...that's something!

I watch Fox news although I can't stand how one sided they are, I also don't like how disrespectful they are when talking about Unions but that's another story. This morning I heard something about McCain being asked how many homes he owned and he could not answer the question. I know he is a rich man as are many politicians at that level, I just find it funny to be so wealthy you don't know how many homes you own. Obama, McCain take your pick they are both in it for their own reasons and if the past perfomance of both parties proves anything it is that the best interest of the American public is not their goal. I just wrote to Congressman Chris Shays and told him we don't need more town meetings, we need jobs and affordable energy. I told him he needs to pass laws to control the price of oil and enforce immigrations laws while securing our borders from more illegals. You guys can keep bashing the candidates but the serious problems facing the nation need our attention and theirs. We are a society that makes nothing of what it consumes, allows illegals to have a free run here and sits back while one industry brings us to the brink of ruin. Wake up guys, the ship is sinking wrong time to complain about the food, start bailing!

I think it may have been McCains way of telling the reporter it was none of his/her business. I may be wrong and think its a stupid answer, but how does someone not know how many properties they own. Its kind of like not knowing their are 50 states and not 57 states in the union.

Since when, in a capitalist society, is owning property a sin? Obama's comments just highlight the Marxist philosophy in him. McCain should not have to defend his ability to prosper in this country. After all isn't this the American dream?

I'm sure you are right and there will be more slip ups before this is all over. My main concerns were what I wrote in the rest of that post. While opposing sides look for these mistakes, and slip ups our serious problems are growing worse. One of these candidates will be our next President, and when all the dust settles I'd like to know what exactly the plan or plans will be to turn things around? I don't care if they struck oil here tomorrow and we were free from foreign oil, we still can't afford the current prices for gasoline, heating fuel and food. We still need jobs that pay well, medical benefits for the over 70% of Americans who have none, secure borders and resolution for the millions of illegals. These other issues involving conflicts of interest and personal matters while worthy of our attention pale in comparission. Our country is in trouble. I am talking in broad terms here when I say "We", of course there are those of us who can well afford current prices, I am happy for them and concerned for all others.

I think it's entirely possible and plausible to not know. If he owns a property management company and they handle all the transactions (closing, sales, maintenance, rentals, etc) WHY would he need to know. He (at his level) is only interested in what the company (or block or properties as a while) is worth, and could care less if its composed of 200 $250,000 homes or 1000 $50,000 shacks, its still $50,000,000 of worth.
Go ask Bill Gates how many desktop computers his company owns that their employees use every day, he probably couldn't guess within a thousand units.
Ask Mr. Trump how many hotel rooms he has in all his casinos, he won't know the exact number, but he could probably get close.
Ask Rick how many pipe wrenches he owns, would he get it right on the first try? Maybe, maybe not.

I can't disagree with what you write. What I can tell you is at a MINIMUM drilling MAY help with prices but will limit the transfer of wealth to foreign countries. What I do know for sure is that is a better solution then just tuning up your car. I really hope that elderly people do not have to choose between food or heat as that would be a sin. Neither of these guys are the answer but there clearly is a better candidate here.

Actually Senator McCain owns ZERO properties. They are all owned by his wife, kids and trusts. Maybe he was telling the truth.

McCain is a bad person because he has money.
Obama is a good person because he talks about change.
This pretty much sums up what I've heard most Obama supporters state as a reason to vote for him.
Rather than go round and round full circle, I say you can judge a mans character by his past.
I find myself wondering, if Obama were in a prison camp being tortured, then given the choice to leave...would HE refuse to leave without his fellows?
This to me is the heart of the decision, who's agenda is in the best interest of the good of this country?

Thanks to both the republican and democrates who allowed our immigration laws to be ignored and our borders unsecured illegals are a part of our society. According to both these candidates they will remain here, probably grow in numbers and the situation will not be resolved. The "We" I refer to is not just the elderly, I am talking about everyone who is retired, working or unemployed and cannot afford the double digidt increases in gasoline, heating fuel, food and everything else that has been affected by the price of crude. I think it is just as cruel for a child to be cold and hungry as it is for a senior citizen. I find this unacceptable . Oil is an essential commodity and something should have been done to control the price, in my opinion. If you are invested in oil and find my remarks offensive, reread this post.

Pretty disgusting. Why are people like this the only choices? The answer to that question is obvious. Because the only way you can even be considered a viable candidate by the current system is if you have the favor of big money, big corporations and powerful lobbies. It is a system that is run by the worst kind of people, power hungry liars and con men/women.
Start charging people who defraud the taxpayers with a form of sedition, treason or something of the like with similar penalties. The foxes are guarding the hen house, and our media is toothless no matter who you think they favor.
DOOOOOMED!!!!
