They've got to pay for those stealth bombers somehow. ;) It could also be possible that they bought several at once, and used the total invoice amount for all of them as the acquisition cost on that single unit. Maybe they're just trying to inflate the value so people will bid more? Aside from that, look at all the rust on that tabletop!

Maybe they paid extra for the rust.

That probably includes shipping, assembly, and 40 hours of training.

Two ways to look at it....
(1) Since the government requires so much red tape to buy anything, it probably did cost them that much to DECIDE to buy it. Now everyone will know where our tax dollars go.
But then again...
(2) If they tell us this (and we believe it like the $900 hammer and $1200 toilet) then maybe we won't ask who's paying for all those things we DON'T know about.....

All I can say is:
I want to see the spread sheet to justify the cost of any of the above mentioned. Figures tell no lies. The Truth is in the proof. Lets see it.
Gov. auctions: Just another way to get our money. Nope, won't do it, not ever.

Bid up to $150. Can't believe that some one would pay that for the condition the saw appers to be in.
