CPVC and PVC80 Compatability

Are solvent weld pvc80 pipe & fittings compatable with cpvc?
Can I join a standard pvc80 fitting to cpvc pipe.

Are there any advantages to using cpvc pipe rather than standard pvc80 for an industrial process water system?

the only way to join PVC and CPVC is via a male/female fitting combination. I would think the only advantage to using CPVC is its temperature rating in an industrial setting. I have seen many cooling systems done in schedule 40 PVC though.
