The unemployment lines will be swelling once the word on these gets out. Everyone will be laying off and buying a Jawhorse to replace every other man in the crew. :D

I have to thank you guys. I did not even know this thing existed until it was posted in this forum. I sent the link to my wife as part of my wish list and somehow she was able to get it here for Xmas. I tried it with a few pieces of wood and the clamping power is truly amazing. I will let you guys know how it works in the shop, but i think it will be a great addition. I like the way it folds down to a compact size so that it can be stored when not in use. Thanks again guys.

Yes I will but I am at the end of a big project (10 story condo) that consumes all of my time, I am at the project about 12 to 14 hours a day including Saturdays. Sunday ia a family day so it does not leave a whole lot of time for the shop. I will be done in the first week of Feb, then 2 weeks some place warm and then I will be back starting another project. The beginning of the projects are usually benign and I have a couple projects that have been piling up for the shop. I will take some pics of the jawhorse in action as soon as I start using it. :D
I did try and clamp a couple of scrap pieces and I am amazed at the clamping power not to mention the weight of the unit, all steel construction

Woke up early one morning in front of the TV to see an info-mercial on this, had to have it! Arrived last week. Have not had a chance to put it to work as it doesn't move snow but am very impressed with it's claims. Will try to post more later and will look forward to reading other posts of its uses.

I saw it in an ad from Menards. I don't know if every store stocks it or not.

Well I bought a garburator for the wife. She has been bugging me for one for a while now. Sunday morning I set up the jaw horse, took out the sink, flipped it over, clamped it into the jaws and installed everything right there in front of me at a good working hieght. Impressive tool this jawhorse. :D

Golly, I never thought of taking the sink out to install a Garbaurator...
I always thought it was time on your back, grunting & groaning reaching all of the nuts & bolts, etc.
Hey, but didn't you have to disconnect all of the water lines?
Why not just get on ur back, etc.? :)

I just figured it would be easier for this old guy to work on it standing up rather than crawling on my hands and knees and on my back. I was correct in that assumtion. Besides it was an excuse to try out the Jawhorse.

Anyway, I'm glad the jawhorse worked!! :)

I have had mine about two months. I have not used it with the extension to handle a full plywood panel yet, but it looks like it will work okay. So far it has worked very well. My wife loves it since I no longer have to call her outside to hold something for me. Clamping pressure is adequate and with a little practice you can find several good uses for it. Expensive but worth it.
