I am cutting a 45 bevel in a 6" piece of cherry. The cut is longer on the outside edge of the board. I have squared the fence and blade.
when I cut the board at 90 to squared it it is fine. I cut the bevel it is off about 1/16 " on the out side edge . what am I doing wrong.
The saw is almost new.

Clamp your work piece down, that should do the trick.....

Sounds like you have a blade out of square with the fence on a bevel cut. Beveling magnifies any out of square situation. I'm not familiar with the Ridgid saw, but on my Dewalt 12" slider, I can adjust for squareness. Try setting the blade beveled at 45 degrees and check with a square and make adjustment if necessary. I think you'll see what I mean about the magnification of the error.
