Vince, whenever I read about your area of Nunavut my brain thinks to pronounce it None-of-it for some reason. :)

J.C.

that's ironic JC.

when we were the northwest territories, houses were being built, and there were jobs.

now that we're nunavut, there's a huge housing shortage and there's no jobs.

we also say none-of-it.

Vince

the nunavut gov't already has major problems.

we were supposed to become a new territory april 01/1999.

fools alright!!!

these are pictures of the type of sleds we make and use up here.

you'll note that it's held together with rope.

if it's roped right and you have the proper angle of the dangle, a typical qamootiq can be loaded up with a 1000lbs plus of stuff.

the rope allows the sled to twist so it doesn't break.

in my other language "inuktitut", our written language is called syllabics.

when i was paying attention,, i understood that it was invented by a missionairy to translate the bible.

my inuktitut name is tooktoo. which means caribou.
