I am new to woodworking and could use some information. My nail gun minimum nail length is listed at 5/8". Can I use 1/2" or 3/8" long nails with out damaging the gun? If this will not work anyone have a suggestion to a good nailer or stapler that uses 18 ga 1/2" or 3/8" long nails or staples?
