Ok, I am in the process of making honeymoon plans, the very beginning. I have a few choices and due to the fact that I have never been to any of these places i figured some of you guys have, Id like to bounce some ideas off yall if you dont mind.

the big day is August 28, honeymoon is probably from the 30th of August to September, 6th or 7th (I know about the roundup, she will have to deal with me leaving right after we get back from the honeymoon because that is all there is to it)

anyway options are:

St. John
Cat Island in the Bahamas
Turks and Caicos
St. Croix

Why is Maine not on your list? By August, most of the snow should be melted:grinning-moose:

my wife to be is from Maine, we went up 2 Thanksgivings ago to see her family. The Old port in Portland by the waterfront at about 9 at night was the most beautiful place I have ever been.

Never been to those places.

What about New Orleans?

You can eat some of the best food in the world.

Take historic tours, haunted tours, swamp tours, and Katrina tours.

Take a romantic carriage ride through the historic French Quarter.

Stroll along the river.

Shop at the riverwalk or Magazine street for anything and everything.

Get $h;t faced drunk on Bourbon street, have your new wife show her breasts in public to strange men for beads, get in a fist fight with the guy who gave her the beads, pass out in the gutter, get molested by a 6'5" transtesticle, get robbed at gunpoint by two 16 years old thugs, arrested for public drunkenness.

But no, you're from New York, I'm sure you'll be fine. :D

It's not that bad, but that time of year it will be about 100 degrees in the shade, with about 90 percent humidity.

Most of us live in beautiful places. We just get desensitized to them and forget to look and appreciate all they offer.

Break her in right... bring her to the roundup!

My friends go here and love it. I've never been but am told it's low key, not luxo... may not be what you want, may be perfect.

How could you get desensitized to Nunya? I hear it's real nice there. :D

of the places you mentioned i'd say St. John would be my 1st choice. very quiet, mostly a national park, close proximity to the BVI and St. thomas (for shopping). when we go we stay at Gallows Point, just outside od Cruz Bay

BTW, it's St. John not St. Johns. :p

I agree. Take her to the Roundup

We will promise to say nice things about you like how smart you are ;)

She should be really impressed with all your internet friends

I spent 2 days of our honeymoon at the Hockey Hall of Fame with my 3rd wife

Looking back now that may have been a mistake :o
