Hey Rdigid guys. Can you tell me how old this power vise is? I have owned it for about 8 yrs. now. It still works.
Used the same one when I started my apprenticeship in 1975. It was old back then.

We called our a turtle as well. It seems I bought ours used in the early 70s. It was a real power house but after we got a couple of the 300s it was never used again. It seems after storing it for a decade without use I finally dropped it in the dumpster. (I didn't know Rick then)

From the design of the jaws I am gonna
say mid 60s, but maybe as late as 1972.
I too remember using one in the mid 70s
and it looked to be about 15 years old then.

that's a model #200 or was it a #400:confused: i think 200;)
i think the late 60's at best. i doubt it was around in the 70's.
i bought my buddy steve a model 270 and his guys love it. it's a 700 on a tripod with a 300 chuck. portable and you use the hand dies on it.
wish i kept it:D

It is an old model 400. The newer model 400s had the speed chuck.
