I was in HD the other day and saw that the new miter saws had an insert that had no kerf in it. I assume it's a zero clearance that you cut yourself.

I have a 2-3 year old Ridgid 10" miter saw and would like to know if I can get replacement inserts?

Thanks,
Michael

Michael,

There was a change in design for the zero clearance insert. Due to the way the insert mounts you cannot add an insert to a unit that does not have one.

So you're saying I can't get a zero clearance insert unless I get a new saw?

Might be time to give it to my sister so I can get another one. smile.gif
