basically the size of the head, the dies are the same (meaning the cutting die) not the holding head. the 111R I think goes up to 1 1/4" pipe and the 12R to 2" in the dies the head of the ratchet can accept,
below is an adaptor to use the 111r heads in a 12R ratchet or power drive like the 700

the 11r is an enclosed ratchet assembly. as found in the 600 electric machine. 1/8''-1.25''
the 12r is an exposed ratchet. as found in the 700 electric machine.
1/8''-2''.
rick.
the 111R is the exposed ratchet, (I do not think Ridgid makes it any more as it is not on the web site, and push the 11R, instead,),
as they list only the Model 00-R and 12-R http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/Exposed-Ratchet-Threader-Sets/EN/index.htm exposed ratchet units,
and the No 11R capacity: 1/8" -1 1/4 http://www.ridgid.com/Tools/Enclosed-Ratchet-Threader-Sets/EN/index.htm for the enclosed units,
