I just downloaded IE8. It has some useful new features for safety, security, faster browsing and it is quite easy to configure. It will be available to the general public later this week, but you can download it now from Micro$oft.

Are you running a version of Windows Vista there? Maybe a 64 bit version?

I'm wondering how it will run on Windows XP 32 bit.

I would wait for now and let others be the testers of this new version of I E. I remember the mess of upgrading to 7 from 6. Later 7 got fixed up and works.

EVERYTHING that Microsoft releases tries to get fixed after the fact, and some of it works. :bash:

But you do. Windows itself is a constant beta ;)

I downloaded IE8 a couple of weeks ago. Feels faster but allegedly some 2400 major websites cannot be rendered properly. I went to one of them and it worked fine. No time to test the remaining 2399.
