I'm not sure I understand what is wrong with this saw... you can't expect it to out-perform a 9-amp recip. saw like the R3001, or a larger saw for that matter... (you wouldn't buy a tack hammer for framing... at least I hope not :D)
It's designed to be a one-handed tool - light, easy to maneuver, fits in small spaces, and accurate.
