Dear Mr President,

This is a patriotic solution and makes all of us sacrifice!

There are about 40 million people over 50 in the work force;
Pay them each 1 million dollars a piece as a severance package with the following stipulations:

1. They must leave their jobs, forty million job openings-- unemployment fixed!

2. They must all buy a new American made [GM, Chrysler] automobiles, 40 million cars
ordered-- auto industry fixed!

3. They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage-- Housing crisis fixed!

And this is still cheaper than the current bailout!

You may need to check your math.

I remember getting in arguments with people who swore each american could have 1 million dollars if they just distributed the bailout money. Turns out to be 3000 bucks ;-)

Double check the "facts" people pass around the web. :p

Ummmmm............NO!!!!!! 40 million people each recieving 1 million dollars would equate to 40 TRILLION dollars!!!

This is quite possibly the dumbest idea to circulate the web to date.

OK, "UNCLE"!!!!
my math is 40 million x 1 million = a hell of a lot!

But regardless, at the rate "BO" is shelling out the money why can't
he "share the wealth" with the over fifty working class?
He has almost drained my entire retirement savings and shows absolutely no remorse!
If he can bail out wall-street, why not our 401-Ks that were tied to wall-street!!

Then his young Marxists can do their share of the work

You could give $25K to 40M people, that would be $1T dollars. And it would stimulate the economy no matter what the people did with it. If they saved it or bought a new car or put it toward a new home, it all would stimulate the economy IF they spend or invest the money here in the US.

Amen Cactus I am with you. The only problem I see is getting many of those unemployed people to get up and go to work. I'm sure many would though. Had to add the last line so I wouldn't get smashed by someone.:smash::smash::smash:

PS
I want my million in 1 dollar bills. LOL

Why in HELL are we GIVING anybody ANYTHING?

Whatever happened to working for what you get?

Don't bail me out, I'm fine.

To hell with bailing out anybody or anything. Let them fail. The cream will rise to the top.
