Help! problems with Oscillating Edge Belt/Spindle Sander

The belt unit keeps jamming when I tighted the unit on the sanding belts and the spindles stop the minute i place any stock against them. Any suggestions?

Disassemble the belt assembly. There is a fan under the drive end. The finned side goes down. Check the manual for proper assembly. Also check to be sure the free wheeling end is seating propery.

I have a brand new one sittin in the box in the shop. I just purchased it from HD with the 10% off coupon for vets. Would be interested if your still havin problems :-(

I too just bought the oscillating edge belt/spindle sander from the home depot and tonight I had time to put it together and I had no problem with it, just make sure that you read the instuctions before playing with it!
