Does ridgid make a mobile stand for the jointer? If not, does anyone else?

Bob,
There is not a mobile base available from RIDGID, but there are several other companies that sell bases that would fit. Delta has a base kit to which you add side timbers to make it fit. Also I would check out Shop Fox for a base.

Jake, you might add this to your customers' tool wish lists. It would be very useful to have an option to purchase a mobile cart or attachment for tools that are normally too heavy to be considered "bench top", similar to the one offered on the table saw.
I built a small mobile platform for it, but am not happy with the stability and would much prefer to buy an attachment that was made for the purpose.

That’s one of the reasons we have yet to come out with a mobile platform like the Herc-U-Lift: Stability, Jointers are just hard to move. It seems in most cases though; they are just pushed against the wall and that’s where they stay.
