I purchased a silcock from one of the big box stores and it is already starting to leak and rust. Where can I purchase a decent one from? I think I have a castle north in my area.

Maybe, it isn't the country it was manufactured in. What is a good reliable plumbing parts manufacturer I can ask for? The ones at the box stores are Mueller I believe. I did go to one contractor supply distributor that carried what appeared to be a better version of the mueller silcock.

Don't like Mueller myself. But I haven't used everything they make either.

Woodford dominates my area. I like this one so far.

I remember when it was always Mansfield sillcocks in this area. Now it is Woodford, and Arrow a bit further west.

I have used zurn and Sioux chief. I find they work pretty good. Try and find a large scale supply house in your area, or get a plumbing company to get you one.
