I would say that iomega 500 GB is a fair deal considering it's using a 2.5" laptop sized hard drive, the external 1 TB you see these days are built using 3.5" desktop sized hard drives. since the iomega 500 GB is smaller and lighter, and there aren't any 2.5" 1 TB drives yet, I'd buy at that price if I needed one currently.
