lAST NIGHT MY craftsman / planer died, bearings in head. I was mad as could be, BUT today I went to HD and got RIDGID TP1300-2, that was about 11 AM, got home and put the stand together and was working at my "ship lap siding" with in an hour. Let me tell you that when I quit tonight I had run over 1485 ln bf of 1 x 6 cypress and I am VERY VERY HAPPY with the preformance of this unit. Much less noise, easy to set up, and am VERY VERY happy that the #@%*% Craftsman died. Once again RIDGID RULES!!!!! :D :D :D :D :D
