Verizon DSL is out in DC & MD today

If you know someone that like me has Version DSL service and they are in the Washington, DC regional area, be advised that they are having serious network troubles today. I'm on under painfully slow dial-up service and I'm getting ready to log out and do other things. I thought all of you should know about this issue.

For all of us that normally have anything faster than dial-up, we should be most thankful. In a speed test my DSL normally runs 20-40 times faster downloads and about 10 times faster uploading. Yes, it veries and so do my dialup speeds.

wonder if that had anything to do with all the internet traffic that was caused by Michael Jackson's funeral. Supposedly it was more than expected.
