how thin will the tp1300 plane to?

I need to get below a 1/4" and was wondering if the tp1300 planes below that. If it doesnt I might have to purchase the delta 22-565. I would like the ridgid instead.

You could use a sled, a piece of wood under the piece that you are running thru the planer and make the work piece very thin.

I would wonder how thin you would get before the piece disentegrated in the planer. Another good reason to buy a band saw and resaw the piece, then plane.

I have taken pieces down to 1/8" with no sled.

I believe that is the spec.

The thinnest you'd want to plane is 1/8". Anything thinner could cause the stock to come apart.
