It is better to let an old thread die. Is it better to start a new thread about the same topic?
Just got me wondering seeing a few 2-3 year old threads coming back to life.
I wish you had done a search before asking this.

I like being reminded of how different members viewed different topics.
Seeing old friends is good.

Let them die! Many times product design changes after the original threads start date and bringing it back to the top can be confusing and even misleading at times.
In the case of a technique question, if the subject question was covered correctly in the original thread then there should be no need to comment further and bring the old thread back to life.
I would also like to see people quit changing the subject in the middle of a thread. If you have a question that doesn't directly relate to the original question then START A NEW THREAD. Not only would that get a quicker answer to your question it probably would allow more people to see and read the answer to your question/concern. Well, that's my rant for the day.........or is it??

Looks like BD just tried to change the direction of this thread.

It's nice to see that I'm not the only one that doesn't like thread thieves.:ok::bow-down: God I hate it when I get caught with my hand in the cookie jar. :D
