r 2900 getting weak

while using my r2900 router today it began to get weak after a few seconds of use. it has always worked fine. this is first problem. moved power cord to different supply ... same result. let rtr cool down. .. still same. using appr. 1" bit at 19K rpm. (as per bits mfg. recommendation). any suggestions? :confused:

A 1'' bit is pretty big. Are you trying to get the depth of cut in one pass? In other words, if you're trying to make a 1'' dado 3/4'' deep, try making three passes 1/4'' deep.

I think the brushes are removable on that machine, pull the plug then check the brushes for wear and wood dust
