Hello again,
Has anyone out there built their own wood hand screw clamps? If so where did you buy the kits from. I have seen them at the wood smith store but you wouldn't save much money by the time you buy the hardwood and put the time into building them as to just buying them. I learned the hard way this last weekend you can never have to many clamps.

Tuff, you can try a search or check with sites like Rockler or Leevalley. They may have the hardware cheaper. This is not the type of item you build to save money, you build them for the pleasure of doing it yourself.

I agree. I'd rather build projects, including the required jigs, than clamps. I bought most of my clamps from Harbor Freight, they work as well as the a few I purchased from Penn State on sale for about the same price.

Hand Screw clamps can be very invaluable in many situations!

woodworkerssupply.com has 12" Jorgensen hand screws for $13.99, you'd probably pay more than that for the hardware to build your own.
