Woodcraft goodies

I just got two of my XMAS presents tested out...I got the Blade Loc for changing blades and the Woodcraft featherboard and hold down. The featherboard is very, very nice! I was pleasantly surprised to see it's beautiful stained oak color...and it works as good as it looks. Very nice product....I'm going to order a couple more soon.

I'm really not a huge fan of the Blade Loc though...it seems to slip when trying to hold the blade. My shop towel worked better. The idea is great, but the teeth inside are small and easily slipped out of (I had orange plastic shards on the blade after the first try).
The other problem with it is you have to raise the blade to use it.

Thanks for the info on the blade lock device Kelly. I was going to order on thinking something has come along that made blade changes easier.
But I won't waste my money.
I will try the towel next time though. ;)

I don't know what happened on that last post but I have a question for KellyC, because we all know that Texans don't lie. Is the Rigid 3612 a good saw to buy? When we do tell whoppers they're big'uns because everybody knows everything is big in Texas.

If I didn't own the 2424 and plan on moving the rails to make it a 3612, I'd be down at HD's tonite buying one....I love my saw and wouldn't trade it....you could do much worse...

Thanks Kelly, I think that's the one I'm going to buy. Now to convince my wife..........
