Hello,

I am in the middle of remodeling my home and I would like to move the return air vent from the living room, to about 4' away, in another room (Kitchen).
The return vent will basically just be shortened, as this movement will just make it closer to the furnace.

Can I do this?

Rick

You might want to check your local codes. Here, returns in kitchens are against code.

two places you dont want a return grill

1 kitchen -picks up food smells cooking on stove

2 bath room picks up smells well you know
