I'm attempting to replace a Robert Shaw electronic programmable thermostat. The following six wires are connected as follows in the unit:
Green wire to G terminal
Orange wire to O terminal
Blue wire to B terminal
yellow wire to Y terminal
White wire to W terminal
Red wire to jumpered RC & RH terminal
To be honest I don't know what type of system the HVAC unit is (i.e. heat pump, central air, etc - nor do I know how to tell by looking at it).
I have a Honeywell RTH230B electronic thermostat. Can this unit be used with the wiring above? If so, how are the wiring connections made? The honeywell unit has the following wiring connections:
Rh
Rc
W
Y
G
Thanks
