TS3612 motor

Hi Jake,
I hope that I am directing this mssg to the right person.
I have just purchased the TS3612 from HD and am wondering about what does the word induction mean when included in the specs. of the 1 1/2 hp motor on my TS3612. Does this motor have brushes that need replacing?
