Can I use the blade for rippping and crossing cutting? Thanks

Andy, the high number of teeth per inch is to serve one purpose. When cross cutting, you basically chip away at the grain. When ripping, you curl the wood away. Thus, using a less tooth per inch blade will give you a better rip cut.

To answer your question, you can, but it is harder on the blade, saw and the wood in terms of burning verses using a 40 or 50 tooth combo blade, or a 24 tooth rip blade.

The harder the wood, the more teeth per inch can be used, to an extent. 60 is rarely acceptable in any rip.
