Is there any advantage to replacing the poly v belt on my 3612 with a link belt?

I have a old shaper that had a nasty vibration in it. When I switched to the link-belts, it all but went away.
I get much smoother operation using them on my bandsaw also.

I'm not positive but, I don't think a link belt will work on a 3612 with the factory pulleys. My 3612 easily passed the nickel test with the stock poly-v belt anyway. I suppose if you replaced the pulleys you could put a link belt on but I wouldn't waste the money.

Thanks for the feedback. My 3612 is very smooth already, but I'm always looking for improvements:)
