TS2424 ... video included?

Does anyone know if the 2424 includes a video to walk a new user through the initial setup? There are a lot of intricate parts in this TS!!!

The answer to your question is yes the TS2424LS comes with a very nice detailed video on how to assemble and adjust the saw properly. If your saw didn't include it I would check with the fine folks at Ridgid before putting the saw together to see if they would send you a copy. I watched my tape first and feel that it made the book read much easier... Good Luck. smile.gif

I bought a TS2424 about three weeks ago and it also came without a video. To Ridgid's credit, the printed instructions were easy to follow and I had no problem assembling the saw in about two hours.

WOW... 2 hours is fast. I think I ended up somewhere around 4-1/2 to 5 hours when I put my saw together. I think I might get a bit technical when I do things thou. I spent a fair amount of time checking blade trueness, fence to blade alignment and many other things. I feel it is about as close as it can possibly be. I am a design engineer by trade so maybe that’s why I am this way. Anyhoo, glad it worked out for all. I need to find some videos to watch in the evening on wood working in general. I have worked with steel my whole life. I started out as a certified welder and went back to school for drafting and engineering so woodworking is new to me. I don’t quite understand the lingo yet but I’m catching on…

Hey Big Johnson,
I'm a systems engineer supporting scheduler software for Unix and NT. I am also new to woodworking after taking woodshop, metalshop and drafting in HS years ago. Thought I would become an architect but changed my mind. Now I can't wait to start designing and building my own furniture. 2 hours was the assembly time not including the time spent unpacking and reading the manual. I had to do very little tweaking to get the saw properly set up.
