Ridgid 390 um level

I saw the Ridgid 390 um level in the store and had to have it. Now that I have it I don't know how to use it. When something's level, does the tip of the bubble touch the '0'? When something's quarter inch per foot, does the tip of the bubble touch the quarter inch mark? Please help.

Greg,
You are correct,this level is not like the traditional levels where the bubble lines up in the middle. When the tip of the bubble is lined up on zero the surface is level. The graduations will indicate the slope when the bubble lines up with the corresponding line.
