Anyone here know if the pipe jaws on the Ridgid F series bench vises are suitable for manyal pipe threading (up to 1 1/2") ?

Thanks.

dan, an f series # f-45 can grip 3/8'' - 3'' pipe.
f-50 can grip 1/2'' - 3.5'' pipe.
and an f-60 can do 1/2''- 4'' pipe.
good luck.

Sure they "can" grip pipe -- but the question is "do they grip pipe tight enough for threading?"

I've seen more than one vise along the way that had "pipe jaws" that didn't grip pipe worth a hoot.

D. </font>[/QUOTE]I've yet to see a Ridgid vise which did not work for it's intended purpose.
