This past weekend I experimented with an alternate method of edge jointing and obtained exceptional results. The method consists of clamping one of these type straight edge clamps http://www.ptreeusa.com/allinoneclamp.htm on your board approximately 1/32 inch in from the edge. Install a flush-trim bit in your router table mounted router and run the board over using the clamp as the guide. I tried it on stock ranging in length from a couple inches to about 3 feet and it worked real slick, the length of the clamp being the limiting factor on stock length of coarse.
