Ridgid Ts with Dubby

As many of you know I own a Ridgid Tablesaw, and & the same time I bought the left hand dubby cut off selid. I'm going to make an 8 sides box. Like how they did on the "boxes" video. Each side will be 3" long. My two questines are:
1.) Can I use the stop system?
2.) What about the clamps on the dubby? I don't want to my hand that close to the blade. To make it worse the stock will be on edge, and both edges will be routed. Thanks

Or would it be easier to use a miter saw?
