I just purchased the dc 5050 system. I plan to connect it to my penn state vacuum, however it has a 4 in intake and the system has a 2 in hose. Has any body got an adapter that will go from 4in to 2in. The people where I bought the system said that Rigid had the adapter but i can't find it on their web site.
Thanks.

Jeff,

The only thing I'm aware of that Ridgid has with an adapter is the AC8602 with the reducer you speak of. It's for the JP0610 which is the only piece of machinery other than the JP1300 that is equiped for a 4" dust port.

Here's the link:

Dave,

Thanks for all the great information. I was also told byE-Mail that I should not try to adapt the 4" down to 2 1/2". However I don't have room for 4" pipe all over my basement shop. Thanks again.

jeff 44,

It's a bit late now to worry about 2 1/2" vs 4" as per the e-mails you received. You've got it...and you'll have to make the best of it!!

However, even with a small shop, when you decide that you've got to upgrade, you'll go for 6", and throw out a tool or two! ;)
