Just wanted to say thanks for the info for those of you responded to mt request. I appreciate it so much...I went out and bought the Ridgid 61/8" jointer/planer. Looked at the Craftsman and compared it to the Ridgid and the rest is history. Can't beat the lifetime warranty either.

Welcome to the World of Ridgid.
I'm sure it won't be long before your looking at other pieces of machinery with the Ridgid name on it.
Now the fun part begins. All the upgrades you can make for the saw that makes it even better!
