blade alignment on old TS2400

I am trying to align the blade on a TS2400 (older model) but it seems that after loosening the alignment screws I still cannot move the blade as described in the owners manual. Seems that if you loosen the screws too much they fall out and are a PITA to get back in (lack of working space underneath) Any advise would be appreciated :confused:

Check to see if you have a buildup of sawdust on the underside of the saw. An excessive buildup of sawdust may be preventing movement of the alighment mechanism.
