I need to joint to edges cut at 22.5 deg. each but my b-jointer does not have this setting. Anyone have any other suggestions as to how to glue this joint? I am jointing red oak to oak veneer. The edge is 56" long. I have to joint one piece beveled at 22.5 on both edges to two paneles \_/
Help would be great!

If you have a 45* setting you could cut a 22.5* shim on your TS

Consider the use of a band clamp? HD has them for about 12 bucks or so i think. Made by Pony/Jorgensen?

Thanks wbrooks, that is perfect. Will do it tonight!
Space...the band clamp would be good but the case is open in the back. I'm building a fireplace mantel/cabinet.

Ahh yes. I only read so far. i built a shadow box for a retirement, the individual wanted an octagon. all 22.5 deg angles. no biscuits just glued them up and used a band clamp. 1/4" MDF covered in blue velvet for the back and a glass front. the band clamp worked perfect in this application. i did not read far enough to see that your back was open. I guess i should pay more attention!
