does anyone have any experience using pratt and lambert tonetic stains? a friend of mine owns a mom and pop paint shop and FINALLY took my advice and got rid of their valspar line. He has expanded his pratt and lambert paint line and began carrying their stain. i would like to give him the business now that he carries a quality product. does anyone have anything bad to say about it?

No experience with the stain but in a former life as a house painter P&L products were tops. I read that P&L at one time was specified by architects more than any other brand. I do not see the brand around much anymore.

Like Henry, I have only used their paints. they really are topps! P&L is by far the best stuff I have used, and it is highly recommended by architects. The stuff I get is $30 a gallon, or $120 for a 5. Their paints also don't seen to have the paint odor that other brands have. If their other products are near as good, you can't go wrong.

I also have no experience with the stains,
but the paint they make, is, without a doubt,
the best. You can't buy better paint. I would
think that stains would be worth a try.
Let us know what you think of them!
Just my 2¢.
