Does the lifetime warranty cover the motor on the MS1060? For example, if the motor dies after 5 years, would it be covered or is that considered "mormal wear and tear"?

I'm asking because I'm deciding on purchasing this saw or the Dewalt 10".

Thanks.

RJT,

The warrenty is against manufacture's defects and workmanship, so it can't account for wear and tear. If you've used the saw only once or twice a month and in 5 years the motor is shot, that should be covered under warrenty, but if in that same time you have used that saw day in and day out, I think that would be considered wear and tear.
