I was wondering if it is ok to use the filter that comes with this unit to suction saw dust(or is there some other special filter that i need to use?)
the owner's manual makes no mention of using a 2 stage filter. and when i contacted tech support, i got mixed answers on this.

i had a wet dry vac(shop vac) burn up on me when using a 2 stage filter, so I am a bit leary of adding the extra load.

The single stage filter that comes with your vac will work just fine for sawdust collection. The 2-stage filter is needed when vacuuming very fine particles such as drywall and fireplace ash.

The most important thing to remember when using a vac as a dust collector is cleaning the filter on a regular basis.
