MS1250 capacity

I was told that a 12 inch compound miter saw would handle cutting laminate flooring but my RIDGID MS1250 won't. It falls about a half-inch short of the plank width. Any known work-around with this particular model? Thanks.

You must be trying to cut 45° miters in 6" material. Just rotate the board 180° and finish the cut, you may want to leave a bit more than 1/2" of the cut when rotating the board so it does not snap off.
