Pipe Wrench Repair

Greetings,

I am a new member here seeking information. I have 2 old Ridgid pipe wrenches with broken handles. Is there an effective way to repair these wrenches? What kind of steel is the wrench made of? Can these handles be added to by welding? Is annealing or preheating required? I wish to restore the wrenches to their standard lengths. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

if i am not mistaken..ridgid hand tools also have a lifetime warranty? take it back to your local store and get it replaced?
