Why are the footswitches for Ridgid drain cleaners so flimsy? The rubber on the pedals seems to wear out too quickly, and when you really need it, it doesn't work properly. We ordered a switch for our K-750 and it took nearly a month to get the replacement for it. In the meantime, we had to keep swapping the pedal from one of our other snakes. The hose that came with the new pedal seemed cheaper too. Why don't the replacements come in a higher quality material? We've even tried to mount the pedals to a block of wood to help make them last longer, but no matter what we do the rubber on the end of the pedal where the hose attaches always seems to wear out and crack, so then the switch doesn't work properly.
